Andy Lim
Group CEO, JL Family Office | Founder, The Land Managers Holdings
Mr Andy Lim, Group CEO of the JL Family Office (JLFO) is responsible for sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and executing the investments of JLFO. Under his leadership, JLFO currently has investments in the real estate and private equity & venture capital sectors across the globe.
Mr Lim is also the founder of The Land Managers Holdings Pte Ltd (TLM), an institutionally managed boutique real estate investment firm under JLFO. With assets under management of approximately S$250m, TLM focuses on value-added and development real estate in gateway cities globally, particularly in Singapore, Greater China and Europe, across all asset classes.
Mr Lim has over 10 years of experience in the real estate sector and was a key member in the set-up
of Straits Real Estate Pte. Ltd. (SRE), a S$950m joint venture between JLFO and The Straits Trading Company Limited in 2013. At SRE, he was Director of Business Development from 2013 to 2018, responsible for developing and implementing growth opportunities and investments for the company as well as all legal and operational matters.
JLFO’s philanthropic efforts the Lim Hoon Foundation Limited (LHF) is led by Mr Lim with the aim to give back to society in a holistic and sustainable manner. Bursaries and scholarships have been awarded to low-income families from primary all the way to tertiary levels, including a S$4m endowment (inclusive of matching grant by the Singapore Government) with Singapore Management University (SMU) to establish the JLFO-LHF Scholarship for SMU undergraduates. He is also a director of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore, where he has funded S$280,100 to establish the 360° Pact in support of post-secondary students with dyslexic. 64 Club Street, a social impact hub set up by Mr Lim, comes with a mission to create and curate initiatives to bring about positive change in the community. For his efforts in the philanthropic space, Forbes named him one of Asia’s 2022 Heroes of Philanthropy. As an active member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he serves as a member of its Youth Business Affairs Committee.
Mr Lim began his career as a lawyer in Allen & Gledhill LLP (A&G) in 2010 and left as a Senior Associate in 2014. During his tenure, he was involved in establishing and listing real estate investment trusts, real estate business trusts, direct and indirect property acquisitions, divestments of real estate, master lease-back transactions and property joint development and development projects.

Dr Anser Aftab

Dr. Anser Aftab, Lead Faculty for Dalio Market Principles Online (DMPO) brings a rare combination of deep academic expertise and real-world investment experience, making him uniquely positioned to guide participants through Ray Dalio’s investment framework.
He holds a PhD and MPhil from the University of Cambridge, where he graduated with Distinction and set records for academic excellence. His career spans high-impact investment research and macroeconomic strategy, including a senior leadership role at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund managing ~$160 billion in institutional assets.
At Bridgewater, Dr. Aftab led Political Economy & Policy Research, delivering key insights to Chief Investment Officers (CIOs) on fiscal policy, monetary trends, global trade, and geopolitical risks. His expertise also extends to machine learning applications in investing, debt crises analysis, and global currency strategies. He has directly contributed to Ray Dalio’s book, Principles for Navigating Big Debt Crises (2018). His academic rigor and investment acumen will be instrumental in helping you navigate Dalio’s principles and apply them effectively in real-world market dynamics.

Anuj Kagalwala

Anuj is a Financial Services Tax Partner at PwC Singapore, and a member of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals. He is also the Family Office Leader for PwC Singapore. He is actively involved in discussing family office, asset management and wealth management issues with industry players, industry associations and has a close working relationship with the relevant authorities.
Anuj supports actively on policy matters affecting the family offices, asset, and wealth management industry in Singapore. He has provided extensive advice to family offices, fund management players and financial institutions on various areas including the set-up of family offices, obtaining Section 13 tax incentives, VCCs and other fund structures. Anuj’s key family office clients include families from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, US, Europe, Hong Kong and India. His clients in the wider asset management sector include regional as well as global fund managers focusing on private equity, real estate, infrastructure and liquid trading strategies. Anuj enjoys public speaking and is commonly seen speaking at events given his active involvement in the sector.

Bryan Yeo

Bryan Yeo was appointed Group Chief Investment Officer (GCIO) effective April 2025. He oversees GIC’s total investment portfolio and works with investment group heads to develop and manage investment strategies across all asset classes. He was also appointed Director, Integrated Strategies Group in April 2024, leading a unit that looks at cross-asset class investment opportunities in public and private companies. He joined the GIC Fixed Income Department as a portfolio manager in 2003 and rose to senior roles including Head of Credit Markets, Head of Fixed Income Americas based in New York, and Head of Credit Research and Strategy. He served as Chief Investment Officer for Public Equities from 2016 to 2024, overseeing capital allocation and portfolio construction for the equities portfolio across global developed and emerging markets.
Mr Yeo holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago. He completed the Stanford Executive Program.

Christina Gaw

Global Head of Capital Markets & Co-Chair of Alternative Investments, Gaw Capital Partners
Christina is a Managing Principal, Global Head of Capital Markets and Co-Chair of Alternative Investments at Gaw Capital Partners. She works closely with limited partners relating to capital raising and new product developments. Gaw Capital is a real estate private equity firm and has raised seven commingled funds targeting the APAC region since 2005. The firm also manages value-add/opportunistic funds in the US, a Pan-Asia hospitality fund, a European hospitality fund, a growth equity fund and it also provides services for credit investments and separate account direct investments globally. The firm has over US$35.4 billion in AUM as of Q1 2025. She also serves as Executive Director of Pioneer Global Group (0224.HK), Independent Non-Executive Director and Member of the Sustainability Committee of CLP Holdings Limited (0002.HK), as well as Independent Non-Executive Director and Member of the Audit Committee of JD Logistics, Inc. (2618.HK).
Ms. Gaw was named Global PERE’s Rainmaker 30, one of the Top 10 PERE’s Women of Influence in 2021 and Prestige Hong Kong’s Women of Influence in 2022.
Prior to joining Gaw Capital, Christina had an investment banking career with Goldman Sachs and UBS as Managing Director for over 15 years, with responsibilities as Head of Asia Equities Distribution and as Head of APAC Capital Introduction team within Prime Brokerage. She has deep experience in covering the largest institutional investors globally.
Christina is also active in community and educational sector capacity work in Hong Kong. She is currently an honorary advisor of Hong Kong PropTech Association, a board member of InspiringHK Sports Foundation, a committee member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hong Kong CEO Forum, a member of International Advisory Council at Stanford University, an advisor of Teach for Hong Kong and Time Auction, a facilities committee member, finance committee member and board member of Hong Kong International School, a board member of Stellart International School of Arts, a corporate member of the Cheltenham Ladies College UK, a school supervisor for TWGHs S. C. Gaw Memorial College and the council member of Lingnan University, Hong Kong. She has also served as the board member of The Women’s Foundation for over 10 years from 2009 to 2019 and the board treasurer of The Hong Kong Ballet Group from 2010 to 2017.
Christina received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco, California.

Dawn Chen
CEO, Centre for Impact Investing and Practices
Dawn is the CEO of the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP) and Managing Director of Investments at Temasek Trust Capital. Dawn leads and sets the strategic direction and growth of CIIP, and manages the investment portfolio for Temasek Trust Capital. As an experienced investor, she draws on over 20 years of investment experience in private equity, venture and fund-of-fund investments across Asia, the US and Europe. Prior to joining Temasek Trust, she helmed the Consumer unit at Temasek International, where she spent 19 years. Dawn started her investment career at Vertex Holdings, a venture capital fund in Singapore. She was previously at Asia Pacific Molecular Biology Network and Singapore’s National Science & Technology Board.

Dawn Tan
Director, Asia Centre of Changemakers

Dawn Tan heads the Asia Centre for Changemakers, which aims to build capacity and grow a strong pipeline of active and informed changemakers with a focus on Asia, to deploy their resources, skills and passion for a better tomorrow.
ACC sits within the Wealth Management Institute, Asia’s Centre of Excellence for wealth and asset management education and research. It is supported by Temasek Trust and the Philanthropy Asia Alliance.
Dawn brings to the team years of experience in the nonprofit sector. In her previous role as head of Credit Suisse APAC’s Philanthropy Advisory, she journeyed alongside individuals, families and corporates in their philanthropic aspirations, providing guidance on how they can achieve their goals and long-term plans for social impact.
She was also Deputy CEO of SymAsia Foundation, an umbrella philanthropic foundation set up by Credit Suisse that provided a donor-advised fund structure for clients. Through SymAsia, the team supported billionaire and ultra-high-net-worth business families and corporations across APAC in running their charitable foundations, enabling them to do good in a hassle-free, structured and sustainable manner.
Dawn’s track record in philanthropy includes years in program development at Temasek Foundation and fundraising at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Notable projects include launching a nationwide health screening program for seniors and an APAC-wide social entrepreneurship competition.
Dawn started her career in journalism, and has more than 15 years of editorial and publishing experience. She has lived and worked in multiple countries, including Singapore, Qatar, Malaysia and Canada.

Prof Dean Ho
Provost’s Chair Professor, Head of Department

Professor Dean Ho is currently Provost’s Chair Professor, Director of The Institute for Digital Medicine (WisDM) at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine; Director of The N.1 Institute for Health (N.1), and Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
In 2024, Prof. Ho and team launched a first-in-kind trial - with Prof. Ho as the test subject - to optimise his performance and biomarkers with digital technologies. This study has been featured on television and digital media programming, and major global meetings. Prof. Ho and team also manage a portfolio of over 10 prospective, interventional human oncology clinical trials with life-saving outcomes. A serial entrepreneur, he has advised health/human performance teams, nutrition and wearable firms, and venture funds on digital medicine deployment.
Prof. Ho is an elected Fellow of the US National Academy of Inventors (NAI), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), and the Royal Society of Chemistry. Prof. Ho is Co-Chair of the World Health Organization (WHO) Working Group for the regulation of AI for Health.
Prof. Ho is an author of the best-selling book, Medicine Without Meds, a blueprint for accelerating practice-changing innovation to patients and caregivers. All author proceeds from the book benefit the WisDM Patient Impact Fund at NUS.
In popular and international media, Prof. Ho has appeared on the National Geographic Channel Program “Known Universe,” and Channel News Asia’s “The Hidden Layer: Healthcare Trailblazers". His discoveries have been featured on CNN, The Economist, Straits Times, National Geographic, Forbes, Washington Post, NPR and other international news outlets.
Prof. Ho is a recipient of the Tech Heroes from Crisis Pathfinder Award from the Singapore Computer Society, NSF CAREER Award, Wallace H. Coulter Foundation Translational Research Award, and V Foundation for Cancer Research Scholar Award, among others. He has also served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS), a leading global drug development organization.

Fan Gu
Chief Investment Officer, 100x Impact
Fan Gu is Chief Investment Officer at 100x Impact, where she leads venture acceleration to identify & back potential “social unicorns” scaling solutions to positively impact billions of lives. She previously managed a financial inclusion investment portfolio within a £130m government initiative and has held senior roles across social and commercial investment, including at Charities Aid Foundation, one of the UK’s largest foundations with £1.1bn under management, and at Deutsche Bank, where she executed over £5bn in public market transactions. Fan holds an Economics degree from the London School of Economics.

Farouk Meralli
Founder & CEO, SwipeRx
Farouk Meralli is the Founder and CEO of SwipeRx, a pioneering healthtech platform that connects over 50,000 pharmacies and 300,000 pharmacy professionals across Southeast Asia, collectively serving more than 150 million patients.
Prior to founding SwipeRx, he held senior roles at Pfizer, Sanofi, and Roche. Farouk has been recognized globally as a Harvard Alumni Public Health Innovator, a UBS Global Visionary, and an Endeavor Entrepreneur. He also co-founded Borderless World Volunteers, a nonprofit advancing youth-led global health initiatives.
He holds a Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences from McGill University and a Masters in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Prof Gao Hao

Gao Hao (Tony) is the Director of Research Center for Global Family Business and an Associate Director of Research Center for Green Finance at Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance. He is the faculty chair of Global Family Business Program, Family Trusts Program, Philanthropy Leadership Program, and Family Wealth Management Program, as well as the chief expert of Family Office Research Initiative. He created the first Private Banking Master-degree course in China. He is currently a Visiting Professor and Temasek Fellow at Wealth Management Institute (WMI).
Gao is a member of Global Future Council/Expert Network of World Economic Forum (WEF), a council member of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, a Committee Member and Public Policy Chair of STEP China, a board member and research fellow of China Enterprise Reform and Development Society, an editor-in-chief of Wealth Management Journal, and the chief editor of Family Governance Series and Family Wealth Series.
He has published 7 books pertinent to family business and family wealth (including the first textbook on family business in Chinese), as well as 200+ academic papers, policy papers and case studies. He co-authored 10 Harvard cases, including the first China family office case, the first Asian private banking case and the first Asian university endowment fund case in the Harvard Business School Case Collection, as well as many in-depth world leading families in businesses cases.
Recognized as one of China’s leading experts concerning family business and family office, Gao speaks frequently on public forums and private seminars globally. He advises/serves on the boards of some of the largest family businesses and philanthropy foundations in China and the world, including several Fortune 500 Companies, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and China Charities Aid Foundation for Children. He also advises government ministries and financial institutions in China and abroad, including leading global private banks, investment banks, trust companies, and family offices.
He graduated from Tsinghua University with a bachelor degree (engineering), a Ph.D. degree (management) and two post-doctorates (finance and economics), and from Peking University with a bachelor degree (economics). He is awarded the Harvard Business School Corporate Director Certificate.

James Cheo

Southeast Asia and India, HSBC
James Cheo is Chief Investment Officer, Southeast Asia and India. He is a member of the Global Investment Committee and a member of the Regional Investment Committee in Asia. In his role, he spearheads the development of investment strategies across all asset classes for private banking and wealth management clients in Southeast Asia and India.
Prior to re-joining HSBC Global Private Banking, James was Senior Investment Strategist at Bank of Singapore, where he was responsible for asset allocation and thematic research. Before that, James assumed Investment Strategist roles at Barclays Wealth Asia. From 2004 to 2009, James served as Senior Economist at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he was part of the team that formulated policy actions for Singapore during the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. With his knowledge and wealth of experience, his investment views are frequently sought after.
He has established a strong media profile, with appearances on notable financial media including Bloomberg, CNBC, Channel News Asia, Channel 8 Mandarin News; and printed publications such as the Financial Times, Straits Times, Business Times. James graduated with First Class Honours in Finance from Nanyang Technological University. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst charter in 2007.

Jeffrey Kwan

Jeffrey Kwan is the Chief Investment Officer for the Lee Kum Kee Family Investment. Prior to joining Lee Kum Kee, Jeff was with Credit Suisse Private Banking and was previously the CEO of a Single-Family Office in Hong Kong. Before joining the family office arena, Jeff was a hedge fund manager and proprietary trader running convertible bond arbitrage strategies in various institutions in New York and Hong Kong.
Jeff holds a Master of Laws degree from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University. Jeff is a Singaporean and has lived in Hong Kong for over 20 years.

Kathryn Dioth

Hinrich Foundation
Kathryn Dioth is the CEO of the Hinrich Family Office and the Hinrich Foundation. The Hinrich Family Office is based in Singapore to support the family of Merle A. Hinrich, who was the founder and executive chairman of NASDAQ-listed Global Sources Ltd until its sale to Blackstone in 2017.
The Hinrich Foundation is an Asia-based philanthropic organization that works to advance mutually beneficial and sustainable global trade. The Foundation supports original research and education programs that build understanding and leadership in global trade.
Kathryn joined the family office in 2011. As CEO, she leads its investment and operational management functions as well as the program management of the Foundation. She led the relocation of the family office to Singapore and the expansion of the foundation’s philanthropy programs.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Kathryn spent 20 years in the financial services industry in Australia and Asia with global organisations. She holds bachelor’s degrees in law and economics from the University of Queensland. She is also a Fellow of FINSIA (the Financial Services Institute of Australasia), a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).

Kelvin Tay

Kelvin is the Chief Investment Officer (South Asia Pacific) at UBS Global Wealth Management, where he also serves as a member of the UBS WM Asia-Pacific Investment
Committee. He provides strategic research and insights to the asset allocation process.
Kelvin is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University's Nanyang Business School, where he lectures on Macroeconomics, Cycles, Bubbles & Crises and Investment Products & Advisory Strategy in the Masters in Asset & Wealth Management programme. NTU is ranked 19th in the world by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, 2022.
Kelvin is also a Lead Lecturer at the Wealth Management Institute, where he teaches the Advanced Diploma in Financial Management, the Asset Management AcceleratorProgramme, the Certified Private Banker courses amongst others.
Globally, Kelvin is one of our most sought-after speakers in UBS. He is a bi-monthly guest host on CNBC Asia and a regular commentator on international broadcast media such as Bloomberg TV, ChannelNews Asia…etc. He also contributes byline articles on a regular basis to The Business Times, Hong Kong Economic Times, The Edge and other publications.
Kelvin first joined UBS Wealth Management Asia in April 2006. Prior to joining UBS, Kelvin held numerous responsibilities at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management (Asia). As the Asian Equities Strategist, he was responsible for equity allocation and managed an Asian equities portfolio. He was also responsible for selecting underlying equities for the private bank’s structured products and for conducting funds research.
From 2002 to 2004, Kelvin was a regional telecoms analyst at JPMorgan Chase where he was consistently rated in the top 4 in surveys such as Asia Money and Institutional Investor. From 2000 to 2002, he was also a regional telecoms analyst with ABN AMRO (Asia) Ltd in Hong Kong, where his team was ranked No. 1 in the 2000 Greenwich survey. He was also ranked No. 3 in AsiaMoney's regional telecoms analyst survey in 2001. Prior to that, Kelvin worked at Overseas Union Bank in Singapore as a credit analyst in loan syndications and capital markets.
Kelvin received his MBA (finance specialization) from Imperial College, University of London in 1999, where he was awarded a distinction for his Master’s Thesis. He also holds Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore.

Kevin is Founder and CEO of Tri-Sector Associates, a non-profit intermediary supported by the EDB and Temasek Trust whose mission is to develop new ways for the public, private, and people sectors to collaborate in solving the most complex social problems around Asia.
Tri-Sector supports philanthropic, private, and public organizations to maximize the impact of funding by using adapting blended finance and outcomes-based funding models to Asia’s unique context. Tri-Sector has helped to design several pioneering instruments in the social and environmental space, including the first recyclable grant technical assistance facility for conservation in Southeast Asia, the first “Payment For Success (PFS)” social blended finance project in Hong Kong, and the first Social Impact Guarantee (SIG) and Outcomes Amplifier (OA) globally.
Kevin’s work has been featured in the Business Times, Forbes and the Stanford Social Innovation Review. He previously worked at Third Sector Capital Partners, a leading PFS intermediary in the US, and studied business and public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and the University of Oxford.

Prof Kishore Mahbubani

Kishore Mahbubani dedicated over five decades of his life to public service, for which he was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Gold) by the Singapore Government in 1998. In his 33 years as a Singapore diplomat, Kishore took on many challenging assignments, serving for example in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in 1973-74 during the Cambodian Civil War. He also served two stints as Singapore’s Ambassador to the UN (1984-1989 and 1998-2004) and held the position of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1994 to 1998.
Kishore had an equally illustrious career in academia. He was appointed the Founding Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in August 2004 and led the School until 2017. Despite his duties, as diplomat and Dean, Kishore is a prolific author and has published ten books. His ninth book, The Asian 21st Century, is an open access volume which has been downloaded over 4 million times. His latest book, a memoir titled Living the Asian Century, was published in August 2024.
Kishore has been listed among the world’s top 100 public intellectuals by Foreign Policy and Prospect magazines and among the Top 50 individuals who would shape the debate on the future of capitalism by the Financial Times. Prior to that he was with the Tolaram family for 18 years and handled variety of roles for them. His last role there was that of the CEO and member of the board of directors of Maitri Asset Management, which started as the Single family office of Tolaram, and has now transformed into a regulated, B-Corp certified and award winning multifamily office.
During his stint of 20 years, he has gained deep understanding of complex issues surrounding the families including succession and legacy planning, structuring, defining the long-term goals of the wealth and managing the softer issues within the family. He is passionate about aligning purpose with profit through sustainability and impact tools and that resonates well with the next-gen family members. Manish has served as a steering committee member of the Family Office Community of Family Business Network and he was instrumental in designing their Family Office Community program. Manish is a senior advisor at the Global Family Office Circle Asia, and he also teaches programs for Family Offices at Wealth Management Institute. He was also a guest faculty at National University of Singapore for MBA for Family Business. He is a regular speaker at various marquee conferences on topics of Family Office, Investments and Sustainability.
Manish hails originally from India’s north-west province of Rajasthan and grew up in Nagpur in Central India. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Nagpur University and attained professional accounting degree from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Her governance experience spans 25+ years on boards with 15+ years on boards of publicly listed companies in Germany and Japan, including Meiko Electronics (Japan), a microelectronics PCB manufacturer with ¥95B consolidated sales and 10,000 employees. She has also held Director roles across Asia (China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore) and serves on multiple advisory and governance boards worldwide, including two in Singapore.
A five-time entrepreneur, Dr. Schweizer has co-founded and scaled three start-ups to successful exits. Her leadership accolades include being an EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist (Top 5 in mid-cap) and receiving BDO’s “Turnaround of the Year” award.
Deeply committed to education, talent development, and cross-border collaboration, she is a Mentor for Start2Group, German Accelerator, and Scaler8, supporting early-stage ventures entering Southeast Asian, Japanese, and European markets. Mark Dalio is the founder and co-CEO of OceanX, where he spearheads the organization’s strategic vision and leads its mission to explore the ocean and bring it back to the world.
Mark is responsible for organizational strategy, charting opportunities for impact and growth, overseeing OceanX’s educational initiatives, shepherding brand and marketing activities, and leading regional expansion activities in Asia. Alongside his co-CEO, Mark also leads development and partnership cultivation for the organization, with a focus on ensuring that new opportunities support OceanX’s strategic objectives. His work has positioned OceanX as an industry leader in oceanic research, science, education, and filmmaking and galvanized a new generation of ocean
enthusiasts and conservationists.
In 2013, Mark launched Alucia Productions, now part of OceanX, to use vivid cinematography and

Dr Marty Natalegawa
Former Foreign Minister of Indonesia
Dr. Marty Natalegawa served as Foreign Minister of Indonesia (2009 – 2014). He is the author of “Does ASEAN Matter? A view from Within” (ISEAS Publishing - 2018). In 2023 he initiated the Amity Circle which brings together individuals in the Asia-Pacific with deep head of state and ministerial policy experience, united in their support for diplomacy and dialogue.
He co-authoured “Geopolitik dan Perekonomian Indonesia: Dampak dan Respons Kebijakan” (Geopolitics and the Indonesian Economy: Impacts and Policy Responses) and conducted research with the Bank Indonesia Institute of Indonesia’s central bank on the issue of geopolitics and Indonesia’s economy.
He is a member of the UN Secretary-General’s High Level Advisory Board on Mediation. He served in the UNSG’s Advisory Board on Disarmament and the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research. He also served in the UNSG’s High Level Panel on Global Response to Health Crises and UN President of the General Assembly’s 72nd Session Team of External Advisors.
Also, inter alia, he is a member of the International Academic Advisory Committee of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies; the Southeast Asia Advisory Board of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS – Washington, D.C.); and the Global Advisory Committee of the Jeju Forum. He has also served in several globally recognized think-tanks. He is presently Asia Society Policy Institute Distinguished Fellow, a Distinguished Visiting Fellow in the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies. He is the Chairperson of the Asia Pacific Leaders Network (APLN) for nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament. He also served as a member of the “International Group of Eminent Persons for a world without nuclear weapons” set up by the Government of Japan.
Dr. Natalegawa was Permanent Representative/Ambassador of Indonesia to the UN (2007-2009); Ambassador to the UK and also to Ireland (2005-2007). He served in various capacities within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia between 1986 and 2014, including as Director General for ASEAN Cooperation, Director for International Organizations, Chief of Staff, and Spokesperson of the Ministry.
Within ASEAN, he has been instrumental in pushing for the ASEAN Community through the 2003 Bali Concord II; contributed in initiating the East Asia Summit, the 2011 Bali Concord III on ASEAN Community in the global community of nations, and the 2011 “Bali Principles” which provides for peaceful settlement of disputes and the repudiation of use of force amongst the countries of the EAS. He was an early advocate of an ASEAN role in the Indo-Pacific through the concept of “dynamic equilibrium”. Throughout, including as Foreign Minister, he actively promoted the management and resolution of potential conflicts in the region.
Within the UN, he served, among others, as President of the Security Council in November 2007 and Chair of the Security Council Sanctions Committees on the DRC and Rwanda, as well as the Working Group on Peacekeeping Operations. He also served as Chair of the UN Special Committee on Decolonization. He led Indonesia’s delegation at numerous multilateral negotiations, both within the UN and beyond. He was instrumental in securing Indonesia’s ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) in 2012.
Dr. Marty Natalegawa was awarded the Satyalancana Wira Karya medal from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in 2011. On 17 August 2014, he was awarded the Bintang Mahaputra Adipradana medal. The medals are awarded to individuals for their service to the nation.
In November 2012, he was made Honourary Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (KCMG) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In May 2025 he was conferred the Grand Cordon of the Rising Sun by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.
He has been cited as “one of the most respected foreign policy and international security thinkers of his generation, both within Indonesia, in South-east Asia, and in the broader Asia-Pacific region”.
He earned a D.Phil. from the Australian National University; an M.Phil. from University of Cambridge; and a BSc (Hons) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Stacy is a partner in the private client and tax team. She advises individuals and families on their estate planning and this includes advising on wills, trusts, family governance/constitution and family/shareholders’ agreements, and also on establishing family offices, private trust companies, family charities and foundations. She also helps clients with developing efficient holding structures and succession plans, not just for their personal bankable wealth but also for their real estate investments, special collections and their family businesses. Her practice is more focused on families with multi-jurisdictional or multi-generational planning considerations or other more complex governance requirements.
She offers a unique perspective on wealth planning as she has experience not only as a legal advisor but also as a client advisor in a private bank. Stacy was previously a managing director of the wealth advisory team of one of the top global private banks and advised high-net-worth clients on succession planning and wealth structuring. Prior to that, Stacy was a tax and private client partner in the largest full-service law firm in Southeast Asia.
Besides helping clients set up family foundations and philanthropic trusts and ventures, Stacy also acts for charities, non-profit organizations and trade associations on tax,
regulatory and compliance matters and she has served as charity trustees for charitable foundations. For instance, Stacy is presently a director of B Lab Singapore, a not for
profit organization. B Lab Singapore leads economic systems change to support the collective vision of an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy through building a
community of purpose driven businesses, developing partnerships and engaging the wider ecosystem of people, private and public sectors. Stacy is also a director of the Asia
Community Foundation, the first Asia focused independent community foundation focusing on catalyzing change in the region; and a member of the governing board of
Duke NUS Medical School. Additionally, Stacy regularly advises philanthropic foundations set up by prominent US f amilies on their philanthropic activities.
Stacy is a respected legal and tax adviser. She currently sits as a member on the Goods and Services Tax Board of Review which seeks to adjudicate disputes between taxpayers and the Comptroller of Goods and Services Tax (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. She has also been invited to be a member of the Modern Services Sub -Committee of Future Economy Committee (FEC) to develop and implement the industry transformation maps f or the modern services cluster.
Stacy’s knowledge of the legal landscape and also her experience in the private banking industry put her in a good position to develop a bespoke and functional solution for each client.
She is a regular speaker at many international conferences. She also organizes training events for bankers and intermediaries to ensure that they are kept current of the latest developments in the private wealth space. And on special request, she can curate special educational sessions for family clients, often involving members from various generations (and this can be conducted in both Mandarin and English).

Sumitra Aswani
Head of Purpose and Sustainability, Tolaram
Sumitra is a fourth-generation family member of Tolaram, a Singapore-based business that began as a small retail shop in Indonesia in 1948 and now spans three continents, employs over 20,000 people, and serves more than half a billion consumers. She has held professional roles in the organisation since 2017 and presently serves as Head of Purpose and Sustainability. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director at Ishk Tolaram Foundation, a philanthropic organisation providing access to quality education, employment, and healthcare in Tolaram’s key geographies.
Sumitra is an advocate for responsible stewardship across family assets and has held multiple advisory and voluntary engagements at likeminded organisations, including the Family Business Network, the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth, Generation Pledge, Nexus Global, amongst others.
Previously, Sumitra worked as a physician. She holds an MBBS from the National University of Singapore and an Master’s in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge. Beyond work, Sumitra is raising two young daughters and investing time in cultivating her creative and spiritual practices.

Wendy Sim

Wendy has nearly three decades experience working for global financial institutions and private banks with expertise within the Trust, Wealth Structuring and Fiduciary sectors.
During her career, she has worked extensively with multi-jurisdictional families and family offices, with varied assets and multiple cross border requirements. Her experience includes establishing and consulting on complex family holdings and governance structures for global clients with structures based in Asia. She also has expertise advising and establising philanthropy related structures.
Wendy is a former lawyer, who specialised in trust litigation and structuring during her time in legal practice. She holds a TEP qualification and is a past Treasurer of the Singapore Branch of the Soceity of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). In addition, she is a faculty member of Wealth Management Institute, Singapore and a Senior Member of the Global-Asia Family Office Circle.
Her previous appointments included trust structuring roles in Citigroup Private Bank, DBS Bank and HSBC Trustees.
